Is taking vitamins and calcium enough?

The short answer is no but depends on the outcomes a client wants to see. Example: Athletes take protein and lift weights. If the athlete was to only take protein, they would not see the same results, the same would apply with only taking vitamins and calcium.

Is it ok for clients to continue with other workout routines they may have?

Yes, but it is highly recommended to NOT work out prior to a BioStrong session.

What is bioDensity equipment?

BioDensity is the equipment we use at BioStrong, developed by D. John Jaquish in San Francisco to increase bone density and strength in our clients. It is based on the research of the German surgeon Dr. Julius Wolff.

Is it safe to do BioStrong sessions if a client has Osteoporosis?

Yes, t-scores as low as -4 can benefit tremendously from sessions on BioDensity equipment. Even in extreme cases, clients have completely reversed Osteoporosis without medications. With medical conditions, we do suggest consulting with a physician.

Is treatment at BioStrong covered by insurance?

Many benefit plans have a health and wellness program that reimburse their employees for using gyms, going to spas, coming to BioStrong. It is not currently covered under the provincial health care.

Does osteogenic loading help with scoliosis?

Loading the spine has shown to get amazing results on scoliosis. We advise you to use your body’s feedback to ensure comfort. Again, we always recommended consulting a physician.

Is bioStrong considered a gym?

No, BioStrong is not a gym nor do we compete with gyms, we are not that environment. BioStrong is a proven system to increase bone density, strength, balance and improve joint pain.

Should clients come more than once per week?

No, studies have shown that having treatment more than once per week actually slows the results.

What is BioStrong?

BioStrong is a Calgary, AB based Health & Wellness business with a focus on improving strength, performance, bone density, balance, biochemistry and vitality for clients of any age. Our system is engineered to safely provide osteogenic loading to restore and strengthen the musculoskeletal system. BioStrong equipment has not only reversed osteoporosis and diabetes, but clients have also experienced relief from back and knee pain, arthritis and sports injuries while achieving more strength, balance and agility.

Does using the bioDensity equipment create larger muscles?

No, our system does NOT make bigger muscles. The muscles become stronger and denser.

How quickly are results seen?

Results will vary but the adaptive response of the skeletal system happens right away when the client gets off the machine.

  • Balance improvements are usually noticeably improved after just 1 to 2 sessions.
  • Generally, results with joint and back pain will be seen between the 1st and 12th sessions.
  • Bone density growth and skeletal strength will be remarkably improved over a 6 to 12-month duration.
  • Most people, regardless of fitness level, feel the gains in overall strength in about 4 sessions. Regular sessions will continue to improve their strength. Some will plateau, but, with patience, the gains will continue.

Do clients need a full-body DXA scan?

No. At BioStrong, we offer a free, no radiation bone scan on the finger or wrist.

What T-score is considered healthy?

Everything above -1 T-score is considered healthy

-1 to -2.5 is considered Osteopenia

-2.5 to -5 is considered Osteoporosis

Can the BioStrong system be used if someone has had a knee or hip replacement?

Yes, the bioDensity equipment actually helps strengthen the bone around the hip or knee replacement. It’s even good for preconditioning before these types of surgeries. Again, we always recommended consulting a physician.

Is it safe to use on a client who has had surgery, pinched nerves and has pins and hardware?

Yes – we advise you use your body’s feedback to ensure comfort. Again, we always recommended consulting a physician.

Fun Facts

BioDensity technology has upset professional golfers because some have seen increases of 10 yards in their shots through all their clubs. (After they adjust, they are thankful)

Osteo means Bones and Porosis means Porous – Osteoporosis = Bones-Porous.

Osteogenic loading is the same training principle that the Romanian athletes used in the ’70s that helped them win gold medals in the Olympics.‍

Bone is a living tissue that is constantly broken down and replaced. Osteoporosis occurs when creation of new bone cannot keep up to the loss of old bone.

Wolff in 1892 used to drop sandbags on people to simulate high impact. Osteogenic loading technology and ethics have come a long way in 125 years.

Gymnasts are known for having the strongest bones due to their constant high impact.
